At my current rate I should be finished the rebuilds this week, with the possible exception of one or two more.

Podcast Ping 16 Rebuild

Episode 16 was one of the more popular episodes. And it also includes two of the longer poems I have done, King's Dragon and Detective Noir. The new recordings of the poems should make them easier to listen to.

I'm going through these quickly but there aren't many to do. I'm just going to do 17, 18, 19 and 21. 20 used music from The Internet Archive and I don't think a re-recording would improve the quality that much. And while episodes 22 on would be better if re-recorded, I don't feel the improvement would be worth the effort and I don't want to re-record everything. And I still have to get back to THE UNSTOPPABLE RIDE.

The earliest shows are worthwhile since many have a noticeable hiss but around 20 I changed my techniques, and I believe the mic, and the quality improved a little. I also changed how I spoke which created a better recording.

Much of this effort is because I'm posting many of the older episodes on Mininova where they weren't posted before. I'm seeing a couple hundred downloads so far for these, which is more than the inital posts got from the feed.

Podcast Ping 14 Rebuild

This is a rebuild of episode 14. It's an early version of The Blue Hot Gossip Comedy Show but with poetry instead of comedy bits.

Podcast Ping 13 Rebuild

This is a rebuild of episode 13.

I'm going through these a little faster than I expected, although the next one does have King's Dragon, the closest thing to an epic poem I have yet written. This one does have one long poem, Folk Story. There's a noticeable improvment with this reading over the old one.

I'm probably going to rebuild up to episode 21. Since 21 is last year's Halloween episode I'll like to get it done before Halloween.

Podcast Ping 11 Rebuild

This is a rebuild of the first Podcast Ping episode to use podsafe music.

The main reason for redoing it was to improve the quality. I've re-recorded all the spoken parts and replaced the intro and extro with the current. I'm probably going to rebuild 11 to 19, depending upon how things go. I've also finished putting together a Halloween themed episode 48 which I'll put up in a few weeks.

Podcast Ping 47

This time around I did something different. I wrote the poems based upon the song titles.

The next episode will likely come out just before Halloween and will be suitably themed. Episodes 21 (Spooky Stanzas) and Bonus 3 (Ghosts) are last year's Halloween themed shows. I also would like to do one for Christmas as well and if possible get Episode 50 in before the end of the year. I might make 50 the New Year's episode and plan to use my favorite poems and songs from previous shows. (If you have any favorites let me know at writerpatrick@netzero.net and I'll try to fit them into that show.)

And I do plan to get back to THE UNSTOPPABLE RIDE, hopefully within the next month.

I'm getting use to a new mic so the recording might not be as smooth as usual. But it shouldn't take me long to adjust.

I was going to get this done over the weekend but has a little computer trouble. Some drivers were throwing off my drive settings. But I managed to track it down and straighten it out. Of course since I'm now doing them monthly a couple days doesn't matter so much.

I'm also intent on getting back to The Unstoppable Ride. I've been working on the writing of it but I've got to get myself recording it. And for some reason I'm finding myself getting behind in my TV watching, even though there's not much on during summer aside from reality shows and documentaries. But there are some good documentaries on TV.
