I'm going to rebuild a few more, although I haven't decided exactly how many yet. I don't want to take forever dealing with old shows. I have done a rebuild of Bonus 3-Ghosts which I'll release in the next couple days. I'm looking at a couple bonus episodes since they're small. I would also like to do a rebuild of Bonus 9, which for some reason came out in mono, but since that's a Christmas episode I won't be doing that until December. But for the most part, there isn't enough advantage in re-doing any more.

But enough with the old material. I have also done episode 48 and 49. 48 is this year's Halloween episode and will come out either this week or next. (Probably next weekend.) 49 is November's episode. I also recorded the second version of the first chapter of THE UNSTOPPABLE RIDE, but I don't like how it sounds and will probably re-do it. I would like to get that going soon.

Podcast Ping Bonus 1

Podcast Ping Bonus 1 was originally called Comedy Clips. For some reason it appeared to be mono so I rebuilt it in stereo. I also fixed a small mistake in the maxims.

This is a rebuild of episode 19. The subject of this episode is dreams, which is suitable because Podcast Ping is enjoyable when listened to with the lights off and the headphones on.

I may have the rebuild for 19 up tomorrow and 21 by the end of the week. I may also do a rebuild of Bonus 3 since it's also Halloween themed. After that it's just new episodes. Episode 48 is also Halloween themed so I will probably get it out next week--by Halloween at the latest.

At my current rate I should be finished the rebuilds this week, with the possible exception of one or two more.

Podcast Ping 16 Rebuild

Episode 16 was one of the more popular episodes. And it also includes two of the longer poems I have done, King's Dragon and Detective Noir. The new recordings of the poems should make them easier to listen to.

I'm going through these quickly but there aren't many to do. I'm just going to do 17, 18, 19 and 21. 20 used music from The Internet Archive and I don't think a re-recording would improve the quality that much. And while episodes 22 on would be better if re-recorded, I don't feel the improvement would be worth the effort and I don't want to re-record everything. And I still have to get back to THE UNSTOPPABLE RIDE.

The earliest shows are worthwhile since many have a noticeable hiss but around 20 I changed my techniques, and I believe the mic, and the quality improved a little. I also changed how I spoke which created a better recording.

Much of this effort is because I'm posting many of the older episodes on Mininova where they weren't posted before. I'm seeing a couple hundred downloads so far for these, which is more than the inital posts got from the feed.
